Functional Medicine is a great fit for Sport and Spine because its practices align with our philosophy and treatment for helping people get back to quality, abundant life.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness.
How is this different that Modern Medicine?
Functional Medicine uses multiple lab tests to find root causes for disease. Based on a persons individual lab tests and symptoms creates a treatment plan that directly addresses the problem that is causing the symptoms. Modern Medicine looks at a persons symptoms and addresses the symptoms with medicine and surgery.
Why should I choose Sport and Spine Functional Medicine over someone else?
At Sport and Spine, we treat the body as it is Designed. We believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and if we repair, rebuild and restore back to our design, we will have a quality and abundant life.
We look deep into the part of the cell that is responsible for giving us life or our energy source, the mitochondria. We feel that the health of the mitochondria is vital to your overall health and a key piece as to why you may not be reaching your fullest health potential. Once we address this we can more efficiently and effectively remove the bad toxins, put in good nutrients to repair, rebuild and restore the body. All of which will help keep energy high and toxic burden low.
This approach will help you take your health to the next level.
“14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous, how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I as woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. 17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! ”
- Psalm 139: 14-17
