Thermograms

Thermography is a state-of-the-art clinical test of physiology without any exposure to radiation. This test visualizes heat and activity vs. mass and structure. It is used as part of an early detection program which gives individuals the opportunity to increase their chances of visualizing an abnormality at an early stage. It is a valuable risk assessment tool for alerting your doctor to abnormal patterns that may indicate early stage disease.

Sport and Spine Chiropractic center offers quarterly Thermograms, they are:

Painless
Non-compressive to the breast or body
Non-invasive, no body contact
Not exposing you to radiation

How to get started?

Call the office to see when the next scans will be available and schedule an appointment. Once you have set up an appointment, download the forms HERE and bring them with you to your appointment.

What to expect during a scan?

You will be in a private room with the camera and privacy screen separating you and the thermographer. You will be unclothed and hair pinned back. Depending on which scan you will be doing, the thermographer will have you stand or sit in certain positions while she takes the necessary pictures to complete the scan. She will only be able to see the silhouette of your body and the thermal pattern of your tissue.

Please allow 20 minutes for a breast scan, 45 minutes for a upper body scan, and 1 hour and 15 minutes for a full body scan.

What do I do know that I got the scan?

Once your scan is complete, the thermographer will send your scan to a certified doctor who reads thermograms for your specific target area. Once the scan is interpreted and a full report is created, a copy will be emailed to you within a week to 10 days. When, you have read your report, if you have any questions or concerns, you will schedule an appointment with Dr. Josh or Dr. Ginger to review the report and answer any and all questions.

How often do I get a scan?

Once you get a baseline thermal pattern established (have a scan performed followed by another scan in 3 months to establish baseline), a thermogram should be done once a year.

How much does a Thermogram cost?

Breast: $165.00

Upper body: $299.00

Full body: $365.00
