What to Expect

Welcome to Sport and Spine Chiropractic center. Our office philosophy was founded on the Golden Rule: to treat others as you would want to be treated. We hope that you feel at home when you enter our doors and our desire is to help you reach your health goals.

What to expect on your first visit?

On your first visit, we want you to be as comfortable as possible. There will be a few forms that will need to be filled out to start the process. These include a privacy notice and consent form and a personal information form. You can go here to download and print off these forms. Filling them out prior to your first visit will save you some time in the office. After the necessary paperwork is taken care of, the doctor will ask you questions to find out more about your current condition. This will help the doctor to know how to best help you and what areas to examine.

Next, a thorough physical examination will be performed to assess various systems of the body such as the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. The exam may include among other things: taking temperature, blood pressure laying down and standing up, orthopedic tests which consists of going through movements to assess motion and feedback about any pain associated with the motions. If it is determined through the examinations and questions that x-rays are needed, Dr. Josh or Dr. Ginger will refer you out of the office to have them done.

Often the doctor will begin treatment on the first visit after a brief explanation of the findings from the exam. This is to help begin the process to recovery as soon as possible. On the second visit, the doctor will give you a more detailed explanation of the problem, a specific treatment plan, and what you may expect along the way. The doctor will also be able to answer any questions that you may have since the first visit. Please allow 45 minutes for your first visit and 20 minutes for each of your additional office visits.
